Note that the log extract works by the pageset ID, so if you have multiple queues using persistent messages defined on the same pageset, the extract file will have to be 'culled' (sorted) for the queue you need restored.
Can you paste the JCL used for the EXTRACT that puts the message back in the queue? Would appreciate it.
Coded up a program using the extracted data to help this client simulate a bunch of mq clients sending prod messages from their current environment to what will be Linux mqms as mainframe replacement. My program reads the prod mainframe archive logs and replays them back thru a test mainframe mqm where I will setup qremotes to Linux mqms to consume. I have some PARM governors that can stagger workload.
They initially were considering setting up PUBSUB to do this. But I convinced them that hooking a prod environment to test would be a really bad idea.
It will be interesting to see if they can keep up with this mainframe msg workload.
