Hello...I would like to know the role of an MQ Administrator: I have to define the role of an ADMINISTRATOR...the following is what I have come up with...can you please see if I have missed any duties...and add to it..

- Enable a queue manager to exchange messages with another
- Enable a queue manager to support an MQ Series client
- Implement restart and recovery procedures
- Configure message channels and MQI channels and manage them effectively
- Implement a dead letter queue handler
- Implement aspects of security in a distributed queuing environment
- Implement a MQ Series SupportPac
- Performance and Tuning
- Managing an MQ Series Network
- Install and configure an MQ Series queue manager
- Planning the use of MQ Series to integrate applications on a range of IBM and Non IBM platforms
- Management of network of queue managers and their resources

You might want to look over the MQSeries System Administration manual. For
what it is worth, they give the following definition:

Administration tasks include creating, starting, altering, viewing,
stopping, and deleting MQSeries objects (queue managers, queues, clusters,
processes, and channels).

The System Administration manual takes the point of view that the MQSeries administrator is different from the System Administrator. Because of this, the installation tasks are pulled out separately.
