Hi,
Is it possible to define message set in such a way that a particular column value will control whether a complex element will be present or not.
This is in case of variable length message where column length is fixed.however message length will be variable based on column value mentioned above.
Currently I am doing this in esql.

Exactly. Move to DFDL and you should be able to do what you want.

MRM and DFDL can both do what you require. I strongly recommend that you use DFDL. |
