Hi,
I already searched in the deep of the web and already tried to find an answer here in this Forum but couldn't find anything (if I missed if please forgive my old eyes).
I wanted to know if there is a CPAN Module for Broker Administration for PERL like the CMP API is for Java. I wanted to code a bit healthcheck and deployment in PERL but couldn't find anything apart from calling mqsixxx commands.
It would be relatively straight forward, in as much as anything in Perl is..., to process monitoring event messages - using the MQSeries:: modules and something that knows about XML. And not terribly hard to shell out to something that can run mqsi* commands.
But other than that, I think you'd have to either embed/wrap the Java API or reverse-engineer the MQ messages it sends to the Broker.
You can also look at the Web Admin console - it uses a REST interface. That does limit you to the functions that are available through the Web Admin console. But if what you want is "a bit of a healthcheck", it should do. Deployment, again, would be through shelling out to mqsideploy.
