I just found the following web-site:

http://www-1.ibm.com/certify/news/index.shtml

which has all sorts of news on various IBM certifications. The interesting link is:

http://www-1.ibm.com/certify/news/20030409a.shtml

This link has a comment in it that test 095 is being withdrawn/retired on June 30, 2003.

Hi ,

I too found this information in the IBM Site !!! There is no more Specialist / Solutions Expert Certifications now.

The new certifications are :

IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere MQ
IBM Certified Solution Designer - WebSphere MQ
IBM Certified Systems Administrator - Websphere MQ

What actually IBM means by saying that the Specialist and Solutions Expert Certifications retire June 2003 ???

Does it mean that our Certifications are not valid any more ??

Anyway , I am preparing to take up the Solution Designer Certification..
If anyone here can provide inputs on the preparation for the certification , it will be of great help to me !!!

Regards

I'd have to see the actual context of the "not valid any more" statement to say for sure what it means. I believe that it is saying the old tests 095, 096, 097 will no longer be accepted as the pre-reqs for other tests. I know that this comes into play with the WMQI 290/291 tests. They require you to have an MQ certification first. This will now have to be one of the new tests.
