Hi,
Is license needed for Message Broker Toolkit 7 to install at our windows?
It has license for MQ 7 and Message Broker 7 "Enterprise" mode for mainframe. |

Hi MQIBM,
No licensing required for the toolkit AS LONG AS you are not installing the runtime component and only connecting to the remote server.
Regards. |

Error: Licensing is required in any case. However whether you need to pay for the corresponding license is usually dependent on whether this is a client type only, or a server type, license...
In the end the only authoritative answer is the one from your IBM Rep. _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

An installation of Toolkit, including full runtime that is only used for local development and testing, does not require a license.
Unless your IBM sales rep says it does. |

your question is fairly common in this forum.
I can recall it being asked back in 2.1 days. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

I refer you to the answer previously given by 'mqjeff'.
If you doubt us then get the chapter and verse from your IBM sales guy. That way you will be legally (and morally) in the clear. _________________ WMQ User since 1999
