What does the IBM site say about supported operating systems for WMQ V7 & Broker V7?
That should be your first port of call.

Then come back here with further questions.

Has anyone tried to get this combination to work:
1. Windows 2008 64-bit OS
2. 64-bit DB2,
3. 7.0.1 MQ
4. 6.1.0.3 Broker

I would like to refer the gentleman to my previous answer to this question

Ok, it might work but unless the IBM docs say so you are on your own.
I ruin Broker on a Netbook (MSI-Wind) running Fedora 12. Works? Yes. Supported? Nope.
It is portable... When connected to an external LCD display, development is entierly feasible. Just don't try to do any performance testing.

If I run into problems then I test it out of RHEL or Solaris or Windows befroe even thinking about raising a PMR.

As per the IBM documentation this combination is supported. It worked when we installed DB2 9.5 (32-bit) on Windows 2008 (64-bit). After we upgraded the DB2 to 64-bit the Broker is unable to start. We've opened a PMR with IBM to know what combination would work on a 64-bit platform. Our objective is to setup a true 64-bit runtime environment for the Broker on Windows platform.

I suspect that for V7, Windows 7 & true 64bit won't appear until FP1 arrives

We received an answer from IBM.

Quote:

Currently, no version of WMB supports 64bit EGs on a Windows platform.
While WMB will function with 64bit DB2, please keep in mind that on platforms that support 32-bit execution groups, the broker needs 32-bit access to the data source:

It looks like we cannot run Broker EGs in 64-bit mode yet, so we are going with 32-bit EGs for now with 64-bit DB2 and MQ.
