Folks,
I am writing a program in C which will run as a triggered CICS transaction on OS/390, with MQ V 5.2. A colleague mentioned that he thinks that C might not be suitable, possibly something to do with C using the pseudo-reentrant TCB, he can't remember.
I can't find any such restriction documented, though it may of course have been a feature of an older version of MQSeries. Can anyone comment on whether there really is such a cause for concern with C used in this manner?
Many thanks - Cliff |

There shouldn't be any problems using programs written in C in a triggered transaction.
Indeed parts of the MQ_CICS bridge code are written in C and can run as triggered transactions.

Thaks, Bob, that's just what I thought. I had to be sure, though.
Regards,
