To the small circle of pseudo-interested individuals (I'm guessing the
number would be in the sub-halfdozen range  ), I am now officially
unemployed in the First World! We (that is to say, the Missus and I)
landed on 01-Jun-2009 and are staying with friends in Sutton until we
get our income statement back on track.
We already have HSBC Plus accounts, appointments with the local
surgery for mandatory NHS registration anal probes, and we are
awaiting a call (and/or documentation) from the NI. Got a one month
zone 5 travel card yesterday, but still need to get to the licencing
department to convert our drivers licences.
Luckily the Missus has a plush job with a South African bank in the
City, so, should I fail to get myself gainfully employed within the next
month or two, I have some ideas on becoming an anoraked freak that
hosts seedy websites for perverted losers sporting strange sexual
deviations involving clingwrap, car oil, flour, tomato sauce, paint and
other household items.

I suspect fate has an overdeveloped sense of irony, while I was MUDing
my way through a BSc many moons ago, a bunch of buddies and I ran a
company that installed networks, hosted websites and sourced and
assembled hardware from wholesalers to fund our own upgrades.
One of our largest customers was an adhesives and sealants company!
