I believe you can restart the qmgr leaving the log files intact. You then need to wait for the first log file rotation freeing the old logfiles before you can get rid of superfluous log files.
This is why it is way better to have more secondary log files and RESERVE the log space... I know more of a Unix than a windows thing...
Best is still delete and recreate the qmgr.  _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

is dmpmqlog command can be useful - as it dump the active logs only and can be used by qmanager when it restarts ?
i didnt see any info . on how we can use the dump generated by dmpmqlog command . |

Read the section on "Recovery and restart" in the WMQ System Administration manual. It describes in detail the contents of logs, and what logs are used for. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
