Hi All - I am trying to connect to MQ Workflow over a remote location and it is throwing me the error FMC_API_ERROR_COMMUNICATION.
I have been connecting to this server in Bangkok using a remote machine in Bangkok and it has always worked fine .
Now I am trying to use this server which is still in Bangkok but now the MQ client is installed in China . I have opened up the firewall port 14002 for accessing from this client machine .
I am also using the same channel tab file which I was using earlier . But now it throws me this error .
Are there some more ports that I will need to open or do I need a different channel tab file to access the server over a remote location .
There are many reasons why a remote connection to the server could fail.
FMC_API_ERROR_COMMUNICATION comes with additional parameters that may give you a clue: the MQ return code, the failing object and the failing action (MQ API).
In addition you might want to run the configuration checker fmczchk on your client box to check the MQ connection.
What MQ binding is your client using? MQClient or MQServer?
As you are talking about the channel tab, your client seems to use the C-API and not the Java JMS API.
