I was reading the new version 7 (not V6) pub/sub guide.
In particular I was focusing on the WMQ Classes for JMS section. I have a couple questions that if I only knew what was going on under the covers, I am certain it would clear things up for me:
Internally, when creating a durable subscription to a topic via the JMS interface where the consumer is not active...
(1) Is the topic really implemented as a "persistent queue" under the covers (assuming the published message is persistent)?
(2) If there are multiple durable subscriptions to the same topic, does the queue manager store published messages for that topic on multiple queues? If not, how does the queue manager keep track of delivering the published message to each subscriber once and only once?
(3) In the pub sub model, if the topic is actually a queue, can I use MQSeries triggering to launch the consuming application?
