We installed workflow 3.6.0 on AIX 5.2.0.9
and MQ is at 6.0.2.3 and DB2 is at 8.2
Any idea whats going on......

I dont know you have re-compiled switch file library once you migrated to MQ V 6

If not, please do so

I guess you have a mixture of 32 and 64 bit libraries.
Check that the libpath that is used for fmc points to the proper MQ switch libraries.
