Hi,
Can anybody tell me the pros and cons of setting up MQSI using single/multiple queue managers for the different MQSI components?
The manuals seem to say that both can be done , but not which one is the better approach.

I always recommend that customers configure the fewest number of queue managers as possible in order to K.I.S.S.
For an NT/2000 based broker that would be a single queue manager for the Config Manager and first broker, along with the User Name Server if used. For a Unix based broker, that would be two queue managers, one on the Unix machine for the broker to operate from and one for the NT/2000 platform for the Config Manager.
