I am trying to authorize the USER with defined permissions on the ABC queue. when i issue the following command
C:\>dspmqaut -m QM1 -n ABC -t queue -p USER
it gives me
Entity USER has the following authorizations for object ABC:
so the entity USER does not have any permissions. but the application running under USER in the same domain is able to put/get the messages.
Also the user is not part of MQM group. Please guide me through this.
C:\>dspmqaut -m QM1 -n ABC -t queue -p DOMAIN\USER
Entity DOAMIN\USER has the following authorizations for object ABC:
get
browse
put
inq
set
crt
dlt
chg
dsp
passid
passall
setid
setall
clr
so the USER under DOMAIN have full permissions on the object ABC.
Thanks Jeff.
We have an application that is running under local system and USER and USER2 are defined on that box(client box connecting to server thru SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN channel). USER2 is logged on and when he is trying to put the message into the queue the application is able to put the message with the user identifier converted to USER. USER2 does not have enough permissions to put the message into the queue but the identifier is getting converted to USER and dropping the message in the queue. Please make me understand this.
i want to alter the permissions such that USER have full rights and USER2 has restricted.
