Dear all,

I'd like to know if the above product does the following:

(The customer has already chosen this product, so I cannot
influence that. The platforms in question are OS/390,
AIX and WinNT, MQ 5.2 throughout with MQSI 2.1)

1. Will it secure the SVRCONN channels?

2. Does it use full blown encryption and certification?

3. Apart from the installation, what additional work may be
required to secure the system - MQ channels in particular.
Queues, etc, will be secured via RACF on OS/390 and the
OAM on non-OS/390.

Thanks for any info you can pass on.

Tivoli Access Manager for Business Integration (PD/MQ) can operate at the integrity (signature) or privacy (encryption) level.

I suggest you contact David Woods at Tivoli UK to get more details.

Another expert is Jon Harry at IBM Hursley - I have a presentation from him and if you Email me at RSA - I will send it to you.
