i did a simple test on MV 6 fp1 and it confirms that:
(1) a message with MQFMT_NONE (and differings ccsid's) WILL transverse a channel with CONVERT=YES and not land on the DLQ and...
(2) a message with last_msg_in_group set on (and the same conditions as (1) above) will not transverse the channel and lands on the local dlq....
