How about this:

Set MQCHLLIB to C:\MyCurrentChannelTable
Set MQCHLTAB to GenericChannelTableName.tab

Whenever you need your app to access a different table file, copy the appropriate one from your other dir, rename it to GenericChannelTableName.tab, stick it in C:\MyCurrentChannelTable and run the app. This way you can bounce around thru different channel tables without having to restart the machine, since you are not changing the variables.
