I'd like to use MQ to pass transactions in real time from a time collection server up to a mainframe to trigger an IDMS online dialog to process the transactions to an IDMS database.
The problem is...I know very little about MQ. I have no clue what I need to do to make this work. I have some techies here that can set up the queues but I don't know what needs to be done on the mainframe side...can anyone help or point me in the right direction? _________________ Tim V

You can trigger a batch program to process the message and update IDMS, or you can trigger a CICS program (if you're a CICS and IDMS shop). We trigger CICS programs to update IDMS.
