Hi all,

I am encountering a problem of compiling a map from the toolkit. I created a map and compiled it from both Integration component library and InterChange Server projects without any problem. But when I deployed the map to my development server, I received an error as following. Can anyone help?

Compilation error Failed to create a subprocess to run the Java compiler. java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: javac -encoding UTF8 -deprecation -classpath D:\apps\IBM\WebSphereICS\lib\core.jar;

Environment:
ICS Version 4.3
JDK 1.4.2 on Development Server (I am not sure which version of JDK that I have on my desktop).
Windows 2003 Server for ICS Server.
Windows XP for the toolkit.
IBM DB2 8.2 on Z-Linux.

Please help!

Try this option,
Which ever map you want to compile ,export it as a jar file and transfer to your DEV windows ICS box.
Then,

repos_copy -sYourServer -uadmin -pnull -iyour.jar -xCompilePackage -ar

and post what it says.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to export the Map as jar file but I couldn't find a way to do it (the toolkit only exports package to jar). Anyway, I found out that there is a missing path (IBM\Java142\bin) on the "system path". Don't know why the initial installation didn't set the path but it definitely fixes the problem.

Again, thanks for your help.
