We're using MQ v5.3 on W2K and need to use SSL on an incoming MQ channel, based on a customer request. We'll need to buy a certificate for this purpose only...no website secure or anything like that. ...

I have it in my head that fewer QMs is better from a resource perspective....but would just like to clarify because I'm at a decision point.

For instance....say I needed to define 30 queues on one ...

Please wait, while I place my tiny brain around that thought

Looks like I'll need to crawl back to my boss and tell him we can do it...but of course, I'll need most of 2006 to figure out how : ...

I'm way over my head on this one, so forgive me if this is an obviously fundemental question. My knowledge is limited to putting a data string into a queue, moving it to another queue, and pulling th ...

What is the point of putting them in the queue, only to delete them later?
I get a chuckle out of this because it is exactly what I'm doing. On the surface, it probably doesn't make sense; but it ge ...

I think I understand what you're saying. It sounds like it may boil down to an issue of overhead....more QMs = more overhead = bad?

When I thought about it initially, it s ...
